Relevance of mental health literacy for adolescents in COVID-19 times

Abstract

This article aims to highlight and reflect on the report that mental health literacy can do as a health promotion strategy in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic in the adolescent population. The concept of mental health literacy, the benefits it has for adolescents and the development of complications to promote mental health literacy are described. Lastly, there are initiatives identified during the pandemic that incorporate mental health literacy actions for this group and the relevance of having mental health literacy initiatives during the health contingency is analyzed.
