Abstract

Background: The native potatoes (Solanum tuberosum subsp. tuberosum L.) grown in Chile (Chiloe) represent a new, unexplored source of endophytes to find potential biological control agents for the prevention of bacterial diseases, like blackleg and soft rot, in potato crops.
