Abstract

This article develops a comparative analysis concerning Gabriela Mistral's poetic version of Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty written between 1924 and 1928, recently re-edited by Amanuta. Drawing criteria from the ethics of care, we propose a critical reading guided by Mistral's avant-garde view of children's rights and Latin American women's status in the 1920s decade.
