On nonlocal symmetries of some shallow water equations
Abstract
A recent construction of nonlocal symmetries for the Korteweg - de Vries, Camassa - Holm and Hunter - Saxton equations is reviewed, and it is pointed out that - in the Camassa - Holm and Hunter - Saxton case - these symmetries can be considered as (nonlocal) symmetries of integro-differential equations. © 2007 IOP Publishing Ltd.
