Abstract

This article examines a little explored stage in the history of the Chilean poster which coincides chronologically with the so-called Golden age of artistic European poster. It is interested in discovering signs of the influence of the work of the French Jules Chéret in original posters or in those reproduced in local illustrated magazines, in the context of the birth of the artistic poster in the country.
