del Val-Martin, P.; Sebastiani Obrador, E. M.; Blázquez-Sánchez, D

Abstract

Quality Physical Education (QPE) is a hot topic today, however, it is still difficult to establish a unison definition of what it is and what needs to be done to achieve it in our classes. In this sense, there are several authors who have investigated on how to measure quality in Physical Education. The objective of this article is to carry out a bibliographic review of the scientific literature published in the period between 2017-2021 in the Web of Science and Scopus databases. The flow chart of the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyzes methodology was used to analyze a total number of 14 articles. The conclusions show a greater use of quantitative methodologies to measure quality in Physical Education, as well as a prioritization of teacher opinion / performance as a determining factor of quality.
