Estudio sobre la construcción de género en Ecuador. El caso de un aula de Educación Física

Abstract

This article presents an overview of how the construction of gender in physical education classes occurs. If students are contextualized in Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas attending a public school in the capital. Through a qualitative approach sought to make sense that the teacher gives in class to the construction of gender and whether it favors co-education through their attitudes and activities posed. The group that we worked consisted of 45 students (28 girls and 17 boys). The results show that the grouping criteria (regardless of the proposed activities) are not conducive to heterogeneous labor, and therefore, not a construction of full gender. The main reason for this is that the criteria used for the formation of affinity groups was (friendship).
