Abstract
In this final chapter I argue that social transformation and educational justice, as part of our concerns and motivations to pursue the writing of this book to report our research study, cannot be talked about out of the neoliberal frame of the policy landscape in Chile. The active production of diversity and inclusion discourses in Chile since 2012 represents an effort to undo the pervasive effects of school privatization practices driven by the neoliberal agenda. Since school privatization is highly supported and promoted by not only neoliberal but also neoconservative ideologies, policies, and political projects, the current discussion on public education and diversity provides a rich context to discuss the possibilities and challenges new reforms offer to transform segregated educational systems worldwide.
