Abstract
Introduction: The Universidad de Concepción offers a Physical Education Pedagogy career that lacks an assessment of the physical condition of the student who enters, an essential aspect for his undergraduate training. Objective: To evaluate the contribution of the subject "Physical fitnessfor the performance of the motricity", in regard to its implementation in undergraduate through the measurement of the basic physical qualities of the students, and with it, obtain information of their contribution to the physical and professional development of those who entered the Pedagogy in Physical Education. Methodology: The experimental research method of a longitudinal and panel nature, in which 40 students between 18 and 25 years old participated. Results andDiscussion: It evidenced, for example, through the t-Student statistical test that there are significant differences in physical aptitude tests such as elbow flexion(p-value <0.000), trunk flexion (p-value <0.013) or VO2(p-value <0.010) among others. Conclusion: It is necessary to strengthen knowledge regarding healthy eating, and encourage autonomous work and increase the intensity of workloads in order to positively modify your Body Mass Index.
