Abstract

This interview seeks to present the work of two young filmmakers from the Costa Chica (Mexico) region: Monica Morales and Clemen Villamizar, delving into their documentaries Tita, tejedora de raices (2018) and El Quiza (in conclusion process). This conversation took place within the framework of the I Festival Artistico Audiovisual Afrodescendencias, organized by the Laboratorio Audiovisual [Audiovisual Laboratory] of the Centro de Investigaciones y Estudios Superiores en Antropologia Social in May 2021, with the intention of bringing us closer to their lives, motivations, creative processes and experiences that emerged during production, assembly and screening of the movies.
