Abstract

This dossier, co-directed with the sociologist Guido Nicolosi (Universidad de Catania), was born from a collaboration in the field (in Sicily) and from our common concerns about the "digitization" of contemporary migration and the constitution of the "migrant" identity. The works gathered in this dossier and the reflection carried out with Guido Nicolosi question the links between technological development and the migratory path as well as the technical tools of quantification and the new forms of control in the surveillance and management (state and humanitarian) of migrant populations.
