Abstract

The purpose of this study is to estimate the survival function of microenterprises in Chile and determine the personal and financial characteristics that intervene in the business life cycle. To do this, data from the Survey of Microenterprises of 2015 were used. We estimated a duration model with Weibull distribution that showed that the probability of survival of a company increases as its owner is head of household, man, receiving training and being older.
