Dipilidiosis humana en Concepción. Reporte de caso y revisión de claves diagnósticas en el laboratorio

Abstract
Dipylidium caninum is a zoonotic parasite that causes dipilidosis. Its common definitive hosts are dogs, cats, wild animal and, accidentally, human beings. The acquisition of this parasitosis involves ingest of arthropod like flea, their carrying inside a cysticercoid larvae. Children are most affecting because their close association with pets and poor hygienic habits. In Chile, 19 cases have been reported to the date, and two were described in Concepcion. We report the identification of D. caninum proglotide, and some particular topics in concern to the laboratory diagnostic were rewieved
