Ramos-Rodriguez, Elisabeth; Vasquez, Claudia

Abstract

One of the problems in teacher training is possessing mechanisms that allow us to work with teachers who seek to improve their practice and professional knowledge. As a result of research and experience, a model of programs for professional development of mathematics teachers is presented in light of the characterization of effective programs. The model is operationalized in a training program observing its effectiveness characteristics, showing the main elements that constitute it and observing coherence and complementarity between the model and its implementation.
