Model and control of mushrooms greenhouse on household level: an empirical approach

Abstract

The control of mushrooms cultives is an understudied area. Although there are many studies about the control of growing environments, but few focus on the mushrooms greenhouse. This paper makes an empirical approach to the control of the mushrooms greenhouse, defining a methodology to obtain the estimated model and the subsequent comparison of three different controls strategies. The results obtenied show similar performance on fuzzy control and hybrid PI/on-off control, but better performance with respect to only on-off control. In addition, the cultivation time was reduced by 21.7% with respect to an uncontrolled cultivation.
