Abstract
Differential Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar technique has proven to be a reliable method for landslides monitoring and can be used for several purposed such as landslide hazard maps, urban planning and hazard mitigation strategies In this research we present the satellite monitoring of the Yerba Loca landslide occurred in august 2018 and surrounding areas using the Sentinel 1 (S1) radar images in the Metropolitan region of Chile. During the 2018-2022 we identify a subsidence of 28 cm and a mean vertical displacement velocity of 9.4 cm/year, which would indicate that the landslide is still active.
