Abstract

Immigrant entrepreneurship is a socioeconomic phenomenon that has become of utmost importance since immigrant communities have played an important role in economy. However, in recent decades, it has become a more multifaceted, complex, diverse, and global phenomenon. Thus, a review of the literature becomes essential. This work aims to develop a bibliometric analysis of the literature published in the Web of Science database from 2000 to 2020, in order to analyse the advances and trends on the subject. The methodology consists of analysing bibliometric indicators of quantity and quality using the Bibliometrix, VOSviewer and SCIMat software. The results show the evolution of this topic, as well as the recognition of the different lines in which the research has organized the debate. This study contributes to the literature on immigrant entrepreneurship by providing a systematization of the literature developed to date and proposing future lines of research.
