Cecilia Lorena Quintrileo Llancao; Leontina Elizabeth Martínez Palma

Abstract

The objective of this work is to analyze the argumentative discourse of men and women, immigrants, and Chileans, residing in the Los Ríos region, in relation to the pandemic situation. The design of this study is framed within the qualitative paradigm, with a descriptive-interpretive scope, considering gender and place of origin. The theoretical-methodological framework of the research draws on the theory of argumentation, mainly from the pragma-dialectic approach. The results show the use of symptomatic, causal and analogical relationship schemes in the justification of points of view, with a differentiated propositional orientation between women and men, in terms of semantic discursive fields.
