Abstract

Why should geographers consider the contributions of institutional ethnography (IE) and contemplate reading this book? As a geographer, IE has forever changed the way I view the world, and particularly the field of environmental management, providing a concrete method to explore institutions from the bottom up, with the aim to improve them so they can better respond to the needs of communities and their territories.
