Diversity Climate and Perception of Inclusion in a Chilean Company: Spanish Adaptation of Mor Barak Scales
Abstract
Diversity climate and perception of inclusion have been studied in different contexts, but not in Spanish-speaking countries, where research on diversity and inclusion in organizations is limited despite its relevance. Thus, a Spanish adaptation of Mor Barak Scales was carried out, which was applied to workers of a Chilean retail company in order to assess the effect of diversity climate on perception of inclusion. Through inferential statistics, evidence was found to support the Spanish version of the scales and the and the diversity and inclusion model of Mor Barak, allowing Spanish-speaking organizations access to important tools to advance in diversity management. Finally, global challenges related to diversity and inclusion are discussed.
