Physics-Music Intervention Results based on Modeling in the Initial Teacher's Formation

Alvarado, Macarena Soto; Becerra, Felipe Porflitt

Abstract

The present article shows results from a physic-music intervention, designed to promote a didactic reflection in an initial teacher's formation course (physics), considering a scientific school model of sound as a core, using modeling. To collect the data, contents from physics and music were aligned (Sound propagation. Amplitude and frequency). Through focus groups (at the end of each session of the intervention. 2), results show that teachers in formation consider this kind of experience as a positive learning opportunity. At the same time, it shows 2 emergent analysis categories that could contribute to the physics and music fields, proposing that this kind of intervention could be inspiring in a university context, and also in primary and secondary education.
