Human-Machine Interface Development for Industrial Processes
Abstract
This paper presents the development of Human-Machine Interfaces for industrial processes; the following processes are considered: fermentation processes for the manufacture of wine and the treatment of wastewater from the CCU Plant - Temuco, which is related to the waste of the products they produce. The interface is developed through the use of MATLAB platform - use of App Designer, this interface is made based on the phenomenological model of the processes, operating conditions of the plant and parameters of these. For an industrial fermenter the model was obtained from Scaglia, which is used in the programming carried out to obtain dynamic behavior corresponding to the equipment; in addition, the behavior of the wastewater treatment process was obtained from Werner. Thus, the fermentation process is phenomenologically modeled according to its mass balances of: viable cells, the substrate, the product, carbon dioxide; from the most important variables, the graphical interface was worked, in order to present the results in an industrial environment for the purposes of analysis of the process operation and operator training, which allows to considerably improve its versatility in the operation of the process in real time. On the other hand, the wastewater process is phenomenologically modeled in Werner, where the most important process variables are: input flow, biomass concentration, effluents, oxygen in the reactor; in addition to the input signals, kinetic parameters and operating conditions (concentrations, flow rates and volumes), among others. In this work, the Human-Machine Interfaces are developed to allow the parametric sensitivity analysis of the processes as well as to obtain a digital twin for predictive analysis of the process behavior and failure analysis in real time.
