Competencias profesionales en Educación Ambiental: un caso en la formación de profesores en Chile

Abstract

The objective of this work is to know the perception of students of Pedagogy in General Basic Education of a Chilean university regarding some competences in the process of development since their initial teacher training in relation to Environmental Education. The study used quantitative methodology and data analysis was carried out using the statistical package SPSS 18.0. The results show that there is an approach to Environmental Education in the training of basic education teachers in various dimensions. It is concluded that it is necessary to redouble efforts to improve didactic-methodological aspects in the treatment of Environmental Education in school classrooms.
