Abstract

The present invention describes formulations and processes for obtaining multiparticulate solid systems containing microsclerotia of Metarhizium anisopliae for the biological control of pest arthropods, particularly Rhipicephalus microplus (cattle tick). This form of presentation can facilitate the application of biological agents in the field, making it more reproducible, effective, and safer. The formulated fungi exhibit stable viability under refrigeration, and bioassays confirm their effectiveness. Thus, the formulations described herein are expected to enable a more efficient and safer biological control compared to currently existing formulations.
