Grain staining in oats: heritability and associations with phenotypic traits important to the industry

Abstract
Rejection by industry of stained oat grains is a problem in southern Chile. Working with 132 oats breeding lines and varieties, we evaluated the importance of oats genotype on grain staining. Results show that genetics has importance on grain staining and breeding could potentially contribute to resolve this problem.
