Iron substituted layered P2-type Na1/2Ti6/10Ni3/10Fe1/10O2 as innovative anode material for rechargeable sodium batteries
Abstract
We synthesize P2-type Sodium titanium nickel iron oxide (Na1/2Ti6/10Ni3/10Fe1/10O2) material by substituting iron (Fe) and investigate it as an innovative anode material for first time in sodium-ion battery (SIB). The Fe-substitution improves structural stability and enhances reversibility of sodium ion (Na + ) cycling process of the as-prepared material. It provides the charge capacity of 74.10 mAh g(-1) between 0.01 and 2.5 Vat 0.1C. This P2-type anode material is a prominent candidate for room temperature SIB.
