Perception of quality of life of Chilean secondary education students in the post-confinement context by Covid-19

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the perception of the quality of life of a group of high school students from the Maule-Chile Region in times of post-confinement by Covid-19. The study is qualitative research is located within the interpretive phenomenological paradigm. The focus group technic was applied to students from 1st to 4th grade of high school in Talca, Chile, having 40 subjects in total. The data is presented through a systematization matrix that is configured from primary categories, which come from the theoretical framework, complemented with secondary categories that emerge from the data coding process, product of applied content analysis. The results reflect the innumerable changes in the quality life (QL) of the subjects provoked mainly by the quarantine periods and how the post confinement has shocked in the improvement of the various variables that make up the CV of secondary school students. As a conclusion that it is necessary to promote the practice of physical and sports activity in students, thus developing various skills that allow them to more safely the various adversities that arise in the post-confinement stage.
