Abstract

The article seeks to contribute to the understanding of the ethics of action present in Georges Canguilhem. In this sense, it is focused on the developments and the appropriations of the author's work that aspire to recognize the interest in ethical and political issues in his early developments, which persist in his conceptualization of the normative dynamics of the living. In the first part, the study focuses on clarifying the concept of social actors, considering the contributions of Durkheim, Weber and Touraine on the link between individual and society, action, and interpretation. In the second part, the argumentation follows Gagnepain's notions of person and Lacan's notion of subject, trying to clarify the scope of the proposals developed by Canguilhem, regarding normative dynamics and the valuation of the world as central aspects for the understanding of human autonomy in front of the social facts.
