Abstract

The purpose of this review is to show the current status of bile duct injury, specially produced during laparoscopic cholecystectomy. We will review etiopathogenesis, degrees of bile commitment, associated vascular lesions, classifications used and risk factors. In addition, how to assess the extent of the injury in a timely manner, both in the same surgery and in the postoperative surgery. The various therapeutic alternatives used are also shown.
