Abstract

The Interactive Museums of the Wine (MIV) are defined as places that have the purpose of investigating and spreading the practices of viticulture and oenology, linking the production of grapes and wines with the historical and cultural legacy of the area to which they belong, offering visitors playfully experience with the different organoleptic sensations and experiences that viticulture generates. Currently in Chile there aren’t Interactive Museum or a Wine Interpretation center. The research was conducted in 2018 and sought to bring the local community closer to the possibility of creating an Interactive Wine Museums within the Casablanca Valley. In order to obtain data, a survey of interest level and preferences on the establishment of an Interactive Wine Museum was generated, segmenting by sex, age range and level of knowledge of the wine, plus primary sources of information; Municipality, Tourism Corporation and tourism professionals of vineyards and tourism companies. The results analyzed show a high interest in obtaining greater knowledge of wine, where the Museum is presented as a place where the vineyards and the community of Casablanca are integrated, and that would be a place of tourist attraction that contributes to the development of the regional local economy.
