Abstract

This article proposes to analyze the modes of persistence of the so-called “social outburst” that occurred in Chile between October 2019 and March 2020, considering two phenomena: on the one hand, the systematic operation of erasure of the traces of the popular revolt from the public space; and, on the other hand, the recent rejection of the proposed new Constitution. This work deals with the debris and specters of the revolt, for which a necro-archive of the “social outburst” is proposed, where the different rhythms of the process are assembled, with the intention of rethinking the various reverberations of the events. © 2023 De Boeck Superieur.
