Los lepidópteros Geometridae de la Cordillera de la Costa, Chile
Keywords: endemism, larentiinae, ennominae
Abstract
We analyzed the diversity of geometrid moths in the Chilean Coastal Range, between the Copiapó river and Chiloé Island. The distribution patterns of the species were studied by analyzing endemicity under the optimization criterion, using the NDM /VNDM software. Eleven endemism areas recovered, and grouped into 5 consensus areas, which were considered as definitive endemism areas for the Coastal Range. The southern area, located between Los Rios and Los Lagos Regions, exhibits the highest species richness and endemicity. The biodiversity and singularities of the geometrid fauna, as well as the consensus areas of endemism are discussed.
