Abstract

Evidence-based nursing emerges as a reliable alternative to address the current needs of the profession, with the best practice guidelines (BPGs) of the Registered Nurses´ Association of Ontario (RNAO) serving as a key tool to optimize the healthcare system and both the clinical and academic aspects of nursing. This study aims to reflect on the implementation of RNAO's BPGs at the Universidad Autónoma de Chile, Talca campus. The study reflects on how this implementation strengthens the curriculum model of the nursing program, relying on a framework supported by the scientific evidence of the Best Practice Spotlight Organizations (BPSO®) program.
