Abstract

This article reviews changes in gender links in Patagonian by questioning the structural patriarchal pact, from negotiation elements that open fissures in this pact. We consider Patagonian as a scenario, linked to the production of small ruminants, as it is an activity where female inequality increased. We will describe the history of women in this activity and explore notions related to the ideas of women and work that shows that the historical recognition of the territory and productive practices impact on how women themselves are considered. The experience analyzed shows how a review of history itself contributes to female empowerment that makes the gender-production link more complex.
