Abstract

New records are provided of Agonoscena succincta in the Coquimbo, Valpara & iacute;so, and Metropolitana de Santiago regions, located in the central subregion of Chile, attacking Ruta chalepensis (rue), which is a medicinal perennial plant of European origin naturalized in the country. Adults were obtained through rearing, from eggs and nymphs collected from R. chalepensis leaves. A diagnoses and photographs of the insect are provided to facilitate its identification.
