Abstract

The Comprehensive Basic Scheme model (Esquema Básico Integral E.B.I.) is a method of semantic analysis, which, through a semantic reduction, provides a text that condenses a writer's or speaker's specific message in a few lines (Molero, 1985). Such a model was used to analyze a text with partisan ideological intentions, which in 2009 was distributed among the students of different public universities in the city of Barquisimeto. The EBI obtained reveals a marked intention to ideologize the reader about an unfavorable global economic and social situation due to capitalism as a partisan strategy to win the referendum elections in that period.
