Abstract

In this chapter, the advancements in artificial intelligence within the field of modern industrial robotics are presented. It discusses how spiking neural networks, aiming to mimic the human nervous system, can control manipulator robots. It demonstrates how computer vision algorithms, based on deep learning, enable the automation of industrial machinery in mining environments with complex visibility. Finally, applications of various branches of artificial intelligence in automation and robotics are reviewed.
