Abstract

Introduction: This article aims to reflect on the contribution of feminism to a situated hermeneutics of law. It seeks to develop an emancipatory hermeneutics that recognizes law as an alternative to the androcentric monopoly of legal interpretation. Methodology: A theoretical-philosophical approach is used through a qualitative analysis. First, the critical perspective of feminisms in the general understanding of law is contextualized; then, feminist methods that allow situated legal analysis are reviewed; and, finally, a feminist interpretation of law, based on philosophical hermeneutics, is proposed. Results: A feminist hermeneutic is postulated that presents law as an anti-hegemonic path, correcting its androcentric bias. This approach incorporates a hermeneutics of absences and exclusions, attributing contextual meanings to norms to avoid the reproduction of discriminatory effects. Discussion and Conclusions: The study concludes that a feminist approach to law makes it possible to transform legal interpretation, making it more inclusive and less domineering, especially towards women, and highlighting the importance of correcting exclusions within the legal framework. © 2025, HISIN (History of Information Systems).
