The formation of collaborative learning teams in schools through mathematical optimization for improving the classroom climate

Abstract
School climate plays a fundamental role in teaching and learning processes, directly influencing the achievement of educational objectives. This study introduces a web-based decision support system designed to form collaborative learning teams using optimization models and sociometric data. The models integrate factors such as diversity, victim protection, and student preferences. A quasi-experiment with 880 students demonstrated improvements in classroom climate without compromising cohesion or performance.
