Thermocyclic Trigger Temperature Method for Geospatial Endodormancy Release

Abstract
Dormancy, a crucial physiological phenomenon in crop adaptation to adverse conditions, is addressed in this paper through an innovative thermocyclic activation temperature method to release geospatial endodormancy. This research provides a robust and accurate estimation of the dormancy interruption date in deciduous crops in the Ñuble Region, Chile, using Day of Year (DoY) as a quantitative metric. By integrating historical climate data and future projections, the method demonstrates its robustness, precision, and versatility in the face of varying data granularities. A maximum difference of 18.3 days is observed between data granularity daily and monthly estimations, reduced to 3.3 days with a +15-day correction. These results support the method's utility in providing decision-making tools for digital agriculture and contributing to agriculture adaptation to climate change.
