POSSIBLE ECOLOGIES OF ECOFEMINISMS: TOWARDS A POLYPHONIC POLITICAL POSITIONING Las ecologías posibles de los ecofeminismos: Hacia un posicionamiento político polifónico

Abstract

The Ecofeminist Group (GE) is an initiative of women committed to environmental and social justice that was born within a larger network of climate action organizations in Chile. This ethnographic research is based on interviews and participant observation, archival analysis, publications and proposals developed by the group itself. Portraying the new possible ecologies that sustain life from different points of view and different spaces, this article studies how the meanings and actions that define ecofeminism are expressed by the GE collective. It analyzes the political positioning of diverse ecofeminisms and the defense of territories, the promotion of common causes and how within the struggles of the collective a polyphonic political space is defined that challenges dual, patriarchal and colonial postures. © 2025, Asociacion de Antropologos Iberoamericanos en Red.
