Abstract

This is an erratum to the paper 'Discovery of a mid-infrared protostellar outburst of exceptional amplitude' (2020, MNRAS, 499, 1805 1822). Upon the original publication of this article, several concluding results were inadvertently omitted, making several points in the article unresolved. The publisher apologises for and has since corrected this error online.
