Abstract

This article makes an interpretation about the historical and discursive traces that substantiate the neoliberal forms of disaster´s government in Chile. To this purpose, the method uses – as diachronic sources – a series of historical documents and articles about the most important earthquakes that have affected Chilean territory between 1900 and 1980. As a result, the study proposes an interpretation of the genealogical career path of the disaster´s government. Finally, the article gives a critical view of neoliberalism in the scope of transdisciplinary studies about disasters.
