Abstract

Advances in the development of information and communication technologies have facilitated social and sexual relationships thanks to websites and Apps created to this end. On the other hand, several approaches have been designed with smart context and persuasive technologies for prevention and to help promote healthy sexual relationships through preventive and contextualized messages. Although there have been significant advances in the detection of risk situations with mobile devices, there is a lack of studies based on the theory of persuasion from a social psychology perspective. In this work, we developed a system to get strong arguments, based on a social psychology approach, with the aim to improve the smart context and persuasive technologies for prevention. This system included a mobile application that generates strong arguments by prompting users to write and then rate messages that promote healthy sexual behavior. Generating a database of strong arguments has relevance for future public health campaigns and smart context Apps that promote healthy behavior. Furthermore, this work suggests how technological characteristics can be mixed with social psychology in an interdisciplinary investigation.
