Abstract

Competitiveness in engineering companies is supported by the use of ICTs, especially in complex projects where the proper use of information systems, techniques and organizational tools that collaborate with the objectives associated with both the product and the project is essential, among others. Those that stand out the Fast-track projects and the BIM methodology. This Research seeks to consolidate a referential framework that describes the theories of project management, BIM methodology and project acceleration through Fast-track, to then develop an analysis of the state of the art of project management and its correlation with respect to Fast projects, -track and BIM. With the result of this analysis, a first conceptual model is generated called: “Handbook of good practices for the implementation of scope, schedule and cost management in Fast-track projects using BIM methodology in 3D, 4D and 5D”. Subsequently, the model is subjected to a series of iterations using the Delphi method for its modification and subsequent validation by consulting experts, obtaining a theoretically supported and empirically validated good practices manual.
