Abstract

New complexes of the BrRe(CO)3(L) type have been prepared, where L are derivatives of the 2,2?:6?,2?-terpyridine containing in the position 4?, phenyl or pyridyl group. The bidentate coordination of the heterocyclic nitrogen ligand in a pseudo octahedral fac structure was established by using FTIR, UV-Vis and 1H-NMR spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry.
