Cationic arene-ruthenium(ii) complexes with ch(pph2)3 and their chalcogenides derivatives
Abstract
This communication describes the synthesis of new cationic ?6-arene-ruthenium(II) complexes containing the triphosphine CH(PPh2)3 and their mono and bichalcogenide derivatives as chelate bidentate ligands, of general formula [(arene)RuCI{?2-L}]A, where arene = C6Me6, p-MeC6H4Pri; L = CH(PPh2)3, CH(PPh2)2{P(E)Ph2} [E = S, Se], CH(PPh2){P(S)Ph2}2 and A = PF6 -, BF4*We also describe the preparation of complex [(arene)Ru{?3-{P(S)Ph2}3C}]BF4 [arene = C6Me6, p-MeC6HPri]. The electrochemical properties of the p-cymene compounds with the sulfide chalcogenides as ligands has been studied in acetonitrile solutions.
