Abstract

The oxidation of chalcopyrite has been studied in pH 9.2 borate buffer solutions using voltammetry, photovoltammetry and XPS measurements with the aim of characterizing the nature of the films that cover the surface. Taking into account the semiconducting properties of some oxidation products and the chalcopyrite itself, it is possible to deduce the presence of different species in the interval of potentials considered.
