Computational Intelligence in Generative Artificial Intelligence - Uncertainty Treatment and Decision-Making
Abstract
This book addresses the integration of computational intelligence techniques with Generative Artificial Intelligence as an essential element for handling uncer-tainty in the responses of artificial intelligence models and decision-making. This book is organized into four parts and twelve chapters that creatively demonstrate the combination of soft computing techniques with the potential of generative artificial intelligence. It leverages the capacity of computational intel-ligence techniques to simulate human tolerance in decision-making processes in environments with uncertainty and imprecision. These techniques are shown to be closely linked to generative artificial intelligence models and their high ca-pacity for natural language processing. The book is organized into four parts. The first part groups chapter related to new algorithms and techniques for handling uncertainty in generative artificial intelligence models. It also addresses topics associated with regulatory models for the development of Artificial Intelligence. The second part is dedicated to ar-ticles related to architectures of agentic artificial intelligence solutions. The third part includes chapters on generative artificial intelligence and the handling of uncertainty in solving human talent management problems. The fourth part in-cludes works dedicated to supporting decision-making under uncertainty in business and engineering environments. The book includes papers that address two relevant approaches to the current development of artificial intelligence. It presents new techniques and algorithms associated with innovation and the scientific and technical development of Arti-ficial Intelligence. On the other hand, it presents works related to the legal and ethical aspects with high social impact on the adoption of Artificial Intelligence, and it presents new regulatory models for the development of Artificial Intelli-gence. In general, it is a book that combines theory and practice to solve complex decision-making problems under uncertainty in different areas of human devel-opment. The book demonstrates that, generally, the best solutions are not achieved by applying isolated techniques, but rather through the appropriate combination of different techniques, taking advantage of the strengths of each. The authors of the book are committed to the sustainable development of artifi-cial intelligence and the development of intelligent solutions in a fair, transpar-ent, and ethical manner to solve problems that contribute to the development of humanity.
