Abstract

We report an adapted Transwell (R) assay for robust and quantitative analysis of chemotactic migration in Dictyostelium discoideum. This interface-based platform enables quantitative discrimination of stimulus-specific chemotactic migration and reveals defective migration in cells lacking a functional chemotactic GPCR, supporting rapid identification of genetic and environmental determinants of amoeboid motility.
